We are a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. We are built upon the ideals of our unity in Christ with openness and diversity in practice and belief. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lords Table, as God has welcomed us.
Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, and offers saving grace to all. All persons are God's children and are brothers and sisters in God.
BELIEFS AND PRACTICES
Freedom of Belief
As Disciples, we are called around one essential of faith: a belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Persons are free to follow their own consciences, guided by the Bible, the Holy Spirit, study, prayer, and are expected to extend that freedom to others.
The Lords Supper, or Communion, is celebrated weekly in worship and is open to all who would believe in Jesus Christ.
The Oneness of the Church
All Christians are called to be one in Christ and to seek opportunities for common witness and service.
Baptism by Immersion
In baptism, the old self-centered life is set aside, washed away, and a new life in God begins. Although Disciples practice baptism by immersion, other traditions of baptism are recognized and honored.
The Ministry of all Believers
Both ministers and lay persons lead in worship, service, and spiritual growth.
